How long Does My Hair Have To Be Before Getting Waxed?
A question we get asked alot 🙂
Your hair needs to be at least a 1/4 inch long or around the size of a grain of rice. If the hair type is very coarse 8mm – 15mm is best. This ensures the hair will be completely removed by the root at once. if the hair is too short it may ‘snap’ or not come out at all so it’s be to wait 2 weeks after any previous hair removal.
*Other tips to get the best wax include exfloliating before your service but avioding moisturiser or cocnut oil on the skin the day of the waxing as this will make the hair ‘slip’ from the wax and be left behind.
*Please let us know if you are using retinol serums or medications such as roaccutane as these will make your skin more sensitive therefore we can not wax until there use is finished.
*Sunburn, insect bites or irritations also can not be waxed over and are best left until completely healed to avaiod further damage to your skin.
Happy Waxing!
